Security Elevated

We were tasked with conceiving and executing a 3D wallet illustration specifically tailored for a nascent cryptocurrency company. The core purpose was to create a compelling, fully animated asset for their website and social media presence, embodying the concepts of security and convenience in managing digital assets.

Client Brief:

The client required a minimalist, yet distinctly futuristic design that functioned as a visual anchor for their platform. The main objectives were to: visually represent a secure digital asset holder, maintain a sleek and sophisticated aesthetic, and ensure the final asset was fully animated while strictly limiting the file size to under 100 KB.

Project Breakdown:

  • Concept Ideation: Defining the unique ‘Digital Vault’ visual metaphor.

  • Illustration Phase (Figma): Establishing the static 2D design baseline and color palette.

  • 3D Styling Simulation: Applying depth and texture principles within a 2D constraint.

  • Motion Engineering (Rive): Implementing optimized, looping animations under strict file size parameters.

  • Final Deployment: Preparing assets for cross-platform integration (web/social).

Technology Used:

  • Design and Illustration: Figma

  • Motion Graphics and State Machine: Rive (for highly optimized, vector-based animation)

  • Methodology: Minimalist Design Principles, Micro-Interaction Engineering

Challenge

The primary technical hurdle was the constraint of achieving full, high-quality motion in a 3D-simulated environment while adhering to a sub-100 KB file size limit. This demanded exceptional optimization. Conceptually, the challenge lay in designing a unique digital wallet concept that felt both intuitively familiar and strikingly new, avoiding common crypto clichés while maintaining a profoundly minimal and futuristic tone.

Solution

Our strategy focused on leveraging vector-based motion graphics and the Rive platform to manage the file size without compromising visual quality. We designed a stacked-card interface that visually layers security and value. The “Secure Access” concept was reinforced through the design of keycard-like assets and subtle, controlled motion effects that communicated effortless, protected access, directly addressing the client’s goal for a minimal yet futuristic outcome.
